Money is power, power is money, were words Umbra's uncle always repeated . As a child she would never pay him any mind because after all he was a senile man, but as she got older, she realized that life is as unfair as it can be. Some get to go to prestigious schools because of their parent's money, some get job's they are unworthy of, and even if everyone knows that no one will every stop it, because they know they can't.
Umbra came from a well-off family, but she never abused her power. She worked hard to gain everything she has now, even her dream job as a nurse. She couldn't count the number of hours she spent studying, from day till night.
Umbra had worked at a few other jobs before, but nothing of this caliber. She cried happy tears when she was hired, after all hard work does pay off.
"Umbra! My girl, I knew you could do it!" Exclaimed her father when she told her parents. Her mother didn't say anything but shed tears and hugged her. For Umbra that was an achievement itself.
For Umbra, for just a moment, life itself seemed to smile at her, but she should have realized it was laughing at her instead.
