"I hope you burn, burn until even your soul cannot scream" Were the words utter to Thera when she solved her first case.
Thera had a burning passion to find all that was hidden, to seek the truth, and to bring justice to those who deserved it. She was kind, passionate, diligent and never once had she procrastinated. Perhaps that was her biggest misfortune, being too good at what she did.
"Tell me, Detective, why did you do it?" Was the first question she was asked since being confined here for more than an hour. Shackles confining her wrists, a cloth covering her eyes, and a rope loosely tying her to the chair.
"Strange isn't it, not long ago, your mouth never seemed to run out of words, and yet, here we are." He leaned closer. "You can tell me, tell me you didn't do it, tell me you were framed, or at the very least tell me what you found." He waited and waited to no avail. Realizing just as soon that he would not get the answer, at least not today. 'Not talking, I see."
The chair scrapped against the concrete floor, producing a horrible screech. He walked towards the door, glancing for a moment, in hopes of hearing the words he most desired, or maybe even a sign, but no sooner he realized that was a futile dream, after all the person he admired the most, was now gone. The door closed, and darkness engulfed her once again.
