The golden sunlight spills through the windows, lighting up my room in warm orange. I would love to say that the gentle rays are the ones that lightly coaxed me awake by bathing its tiny little gold specks through my eyelids, but really it was the loud honk from the cars below that jolted me up. I’m not going to lie, the moment I heard the loud honk, I thought I was going to die then and there. A beautiful morning sky, too bad it felt like I was just called back from the dead. There’s a good chance maybe I did too.
