The Wayward Grim’s Warning

A small town in the midst of surrounding cities; a grain of sand in the vast openness of the beach as they say.  It’s perfect. Less people to deal with. Less of them. That’s what I thought of first when I moved to Cape Town. You see, I can see; not in a typical sense, but I see, feel, and perceive things that humans don’t perceive by our senses. We are not alone living & thriving in this world, and some of us have unseen companions wherever we go.  Malignant. Ghosts. Entities. Daemons. Companions. Whatever you call it. Each of them are unique; ranging from animals, inanimate objects, an unrecognizable glob, or a combination of them, depending on the humans they attach to. Most of them are nasty though, and they won’t leave me alone.  I fled to this town for sanctuary, for a fresh start. To have a taste of normalcy for once.  … That’s when I saw him.  The biggest mistake that I’ve made.
