Prelude

Once upon some time ago, the world had found prosperity thanks to its ingenuity, and the advent of the one they call the “Particle”. The Particle as they call it, is the result of the research found and pushed upon by the knowledgeable scientists of the old civilization, found in the smallest of what makes up the matter and the world surrounding it. Not only is it a substantial power source for the majority, rendering common fuel and conventional energy sources obsolete, the availability of it paved a way for the current world to stop its conflict, and find harmony for once. Reactors were built across the globe and everyone got their fair share of the energy, soon after it became a normal for anyone and it led to further study on how it can be applied to other aspects of life then and beyond.

But then, there was a spark, for prolonged harmony is paired with looming chaos. An incident with the reactors around the world began occurring, as pillars of light mushrooms began rising up to the air, raining down on everyone it used to provide for. This cataclysmic event was then therefore called, “The Meltdown”. The particles going haywire changed the landscape and everything that surrounds, throwing everything into catastrophe. What united the world, is technically what also destroyed and fractured it, sending it back to a couple of centuries before the world became one. By then, everything changed, the lands, the people, and the creatures that live all around.

Despite the catastrophe that devastated many, they also cling to hope, that one day, everything will be better for everyone and themselves. The World Sovereign was created to keep things at bay, but even then, territories between leaders and holders of crowns are all but fragmented. And within the Old World, life continues to persevere amidst the destruction.
