Author's Preface
The first, and most important, step is uploading your web novel cover!
We do accept AI-generated covers, but you MUST label them as AI-generated by checking the appropriate "box".
A cover is required on Minkly, not only because it helps maintain a professional-looking platform, but also because it gives your story a much better chance of attracting readers. A novel without a cover is far less likely to catch someone's attention, and it'd be a shame for your story to be overlooked because of that.
If you don't have an artist, there are plenty of places where you can find free stock images, such as Canva, Pexels, Pixabay, Unsplash, Burst, Freepik, and many more. If you want to know more sources, I will leave a link at the author's note.
Take a look at the image below to see where you can upload your cover and where to check the box if your cover is AI-generated.
If you are an artist and created your own cover, you can add yourself in the credit section by searching your own username. Your account will appear as a search result, and selecting it will link the credit to your profile. See image below:
After selecting your account, choose " Select Role " and pick the appropriate role. In this case, select " Artist ", then click " Add Credit ". See image below:
Once completed, your series overview page will show that you are both the Author and the Artist of the story!
If your cover was made by another artist, but they do not have a Minkly account, you can still credit them by typing their name and selecting " Use [X Name] as name ". There is no need to link the credit to an account. See image below:
Please make sure to properly credit any artists or other contributors involved in your series!
