A voice echoed, light and almost playful. The voice of a young girl.
“The universe truly is a wonderful place, isn’t it? Hehe…”
She giggled softly, as if amused by something only she could see.
Above the darkness, stars ignited one by one. Galaxies spiraled into existence, glowing seas of light stretching endlessly across the void.
“I think most people have forgotten… or maybe they just call it a myth now. But let me tell you a story.”
“A long time ago, from the very dawn of creation, the forces of Order and Chaos existed in perfect balance. Everything was… stable. Complete.”
Two vast currents moved through the universe. One burned gold and electric yellow precise and unyielding. The other pulsed in deep violet and bright purple, shifting and alive.
They circled each other in perfect harmony, never colliding, never drifting apart.
Her tone shifted, still gentle, but quieter now.
“But intelligent life doesn’t stay content for long.”
Worlds formed. Civilizations rose beneath distant suns. Cities of light stretched across planets. Ships crossed the stars.
“The more they grew, the more they wanted.”
Hands reached toward the unseen forces. Machines hummed with stolen power. Entire worlds bent the fabric of reality to their will.
“And soon… Order and Chaos began to take more than their share.”
The currents began to strain.
“They fought.”
The word lingered.
Stars collapsed into violent bursts of light. Planets cracked apart, their surfaces splitting into fire and ash. Armies clashed in the void between worlds. Entire systems burned.
“And that balance… shattered.”
The two forces collided.
Light tore across the universe.
“But not all hope was lost.”
From the golden current, a being emerged. Its form flickered between something human and something far greater. Eyes filled with calm, unwavering light.
“One of the Sprisen beings, born from Order itself, proposed something new. Something neither side had ever considered.”
The chaos slowed, watching.
“A Guardian.”
The word echoed outward.
“Someone who would not serve Order… or Chaos… but both.”
The currents pulled back, uncertain.
“Someone who would protect the balance of the universe itself.”
The two forces met again, this time without violence. Their energy folded inward, converging into a single point.
Her voice softened.
“And so… the Guardian of the Universe was chosen.”
A figure stood between the two forces, holding them apart, holding them together.
Wherever they moved, destruction stilled. Worlds rebuilt. Stars stabilized.
“For a time… balance was restored.”
Life flourished again. Civilizations rose without fear. The universe breathed.
“…Until one day… they vanished.”
The figure faded.
The currents trembled.
The balance broke.
“Without the Guardian, everything fell apart again.”
Chaos surged forward, wild and unchecked.
Order tightened, rigid and suffocating.
“Chaos spread. Order tightened its grip. War… pain… tyranny…”
Planets fell under iron rule. Others dissolved into endless disorder. Skies burned. Worlds went silent.
Her voice trailed.
“…the universe began to break.”
Darkness crept between the stars.
But then
A small, quiet laugh.
“Hehe… but stories like this always have hope, don’t they?”
A faint light flickered somewhere far away.
“They say that one day… a new Guardian will appear.”
The light grew, distant but steady.
“From a world no one ever thought mattered.”
A small blue planet came into view, fragile and quiet among giants.
“…a place called Earth.”
A whisper now.
“And when that day comes…”
The light touched the planet.
“The balance… will be restored.”
“…at least, that’s what the legend says.”
