Last Call at No. 30
Author: Saerai Phillips

"Bartending should be simple in theory, especially when its for paying for the roof over your head. Even easier for a bar that doesn't have a name and never had one for years. This is the sort of place that's tucked in by the corner that most persons in the town forget about. The walls are cracked, the chairs creak and there's still a speaker with a CD slot in it from 2008. Yet, almost every night, there's always someone new pulling up at the barstool or the billiards table. All of them carry something with them, something that makes them refuse to move on. Some of my customers are dangerous, at least that's what the boss says. I personally think most of them are desperate. Sometimes, it may be both. Everyone slips up eventually. The truth comes out without even a word in a place like this." Last Call at No. 30 is a dark, chapter-by-chapter mystery set across a single bar and long shifts that never seems to end. Each chapter brings a new patron, a new secret, and another thread pulled from the same rotting knot . Our protagonist is dead set on getting to the end of it. Cheap drinks makes for lax tongues. The truth comes out eventually.
